Welcome to Alf Wright Property Maintenance

Located in South Wigston, Leicestershire, Alf Wright Property Maintenance has a reputation for delivering high quality services to registered social landlords.  Working to the highest professional standards we not only bring technical expertise and an unrivalled understanding of the needs of clients, contractors and tenants but a wealth of experience; a lifetime of learning; a commitment to excellence and a mission to continually improve.

With experience of the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors the company offers reactive and planned maintenance as a core activity with a twenty four hour call out service. This together with the installation of bathrooms, kitchens, windows, doors, heating systems and disabled adaptations is the mainstay of our business.  We are a local SME with a core workforce of twenty-five.  For the most part we call wholly upon our full-time workforce, occasionally utilising the services of contractors when specialist competencies are required or when there are unexpected peaks in demand.

Right first time.

Though quality has been addressed through a series of informal systems and processes it has always been integral to the way in which our business is run.  We believe in ‘fitness for purpose’ and ‘right first time’ and that our future lies in meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.  As the business grew  organically there was little opportunity to fully document the best practice which is inherent in our day to day activities.  By ensuring that our skilled craftsmen have ownership of the processes we have been best able to ensure a consistent and effective outcome. We appreciate that documenting and not just understanding the sequence of operations and the key interactions between processes will enable us to better communicate and in turn improve. We regularly review the way in which products and services are delivered against the original specification and the adoption of a formal QUENSH (quality, environment, health and safety) management system to facilitate continuous improvement is under consideration as we seek full ISO 9000 certification.
